UUUUGGGGHHHHHHHH; I can not write efficiently when my bra is too tight!
"Gonna have to try harder than that evil one."
Those where my thoughts, I promise, as I sat down to write this. Once again my urgency to write is thick and flowing.
Warning: This will be an eclectic-spontaneous-guiltless-from-grammar-free post, take it or leave it.
I smacked him frozen this morning and pummeled him to the ground just by simply getting my hinney up out of that bed and my joy having been restored!--ONCE AGAIN! TAKE THAT! devil. you are small. you are nothing.
My last 10 days sucked. My day yesterday was a horrible, terrible, no good, very bad day (as Alexander would say from a wonderful book we read the kids over and over and I mean over again when they were young-by Judith Viorst.)
I woke up this morning at 4:30 am singing to the Lord! "You are good, You are good.......You are good, You are good........." my song went no further. It was stuck there! (I had been missing my 4am's with God!) My rash gone, my pain tolerable, my debilitating fatigue not there, I could move and I even had energy! WHAT!? I took my hour long soak to further relieve my pain, OR I ponder, was it to pray for others? And also to count my blessings? Things that make you go, "Hmmmnnnnnn..." as my pastor pointedly says. Then came the searching of my heart. Man oh man does this loving God thing work!
If only I could hold my tongue for a minute longer. If only I could hold steadfast to the faith that God's "got this," before I open my mouth, before I react, before I sting the one's I love. My prayer for them is, despite me, that they swim in the sea of knowledge that their Momma, their MommaJo and their daddy's wife (ME) has a good heart to LOVE on them, care for them and help them, not to EVER hurt them. I am brought urgently back over and over again from my loving Father to a reminder of my own personal goals I had/have for this past year: To be a loving, attentive, supportive wife. To keep my mouth shut as my older kids walk their own individuals paths. To trust God with their lives. Obviously a year wasn't enough for me, if it takes a lifetime, I'm IN.
Time for apologies, again. This stuff isn't easy. Yet I crave it.
Seriously long story short, God delighted me with a new BFF. I had already fallen in love with this woman's daughter over the past year. I saw in her precious child a special light and I call her Sunshine. I knew that she must have a good mommma. SO BAM. It just came out of the blue. Well, my blue, God's white.
(To bring back his soul from the Pit, That he may be enlightened with the light of life. Job 33:30 NKJV)
I randomly texted my daughter's friends' mom and said: "Will you be my BFF?" and she said, "YES!" I had been limping around in the yard seeking God's creations and God's direction and comfort. I was supposed to be in bed. God knew better, He brought her as a gift to me in the evening. He provided a stunning pink sunset just to confirm. We laughed. We laughed hard. Laughter. The Lord always brings me back to silliness. It's His medicine for me. She ministered to me. I'm not sure she knew that God was working through her. It's almost as if God had been molding my sticky deflating clay heart throughout the day, only to bring me the gift of honey, hand delivered! I love honey. Liquid gold handed to me in the form of a new friend. A new inspiration. A new light in my life and a new song. All packaged in a beautiful amber. Whoah. Yeah, WHOAH. He does it again. Just NOW- I googled it.....

I, the Lord, search the heart,
I test the mind,
Even to give every man according to his ways,
According to the fruit of his doings.
